Case Study

Client Need:
The client envisioned a vibrant playhouse in Kilimani that would provide a safe and inspiring space for children to engage in creativity, learning and social activities. The goal was to design a functional unit that fosters an enriching environment for play, reading and building friendships.

Our Solution:
We designed and constructed a modular playhouse tailored to meet the needs of both children and caregivers. Utilizing a compact and efficient Tetris unit design, we created a space that is both functional and visually appealing.

Key Features:

  1. Functional Interiors: The interiors were kept simple yet purposeful, with child-friendly furniture and open areas to encourage free movement and play.
  2. Creativity-Driven Design: The layout includes spaces for reading, collaborative activities, and imaginative play, ensuring a balance of fun and learning.
  3. Vibrant Atmosphere: The design incorporates lively colors and natural light to create a cheerful and welcoming environment.
  4. Social Connectivity: Ample space is provided for group activities, encouraging interaction and fostering social bonds among children.

Outcome:
The Kilimani playhouse has become a hub for young minds to explore, learn and grow. This project showcases ISM Tetris’ expertise in creating modular spaces that are functional, aesthetically pleasing and purpose driven.

Applications:
This project highlights the versatility of our modular designs, which can be adapted for playhouses, offices, churches, schools and more.

Sustainability and Efficiency

Sustainability is a core principle of Tetris Technology. The modular design of these units allowed us to minimize material waste and reduce the overall environmental impact of the project. By prefabricating the units in a controlled environment at our Nairobi yard, we optimized resource use and ensured precision in every aspect of the build.

The use of eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient insulation further reduced the carbon footprint of the project. With Tetris Technology, construction is completed three times faster than traditional methods, producing 50% less waste. The carbon footprint is reduced by 70%, thanks to the eco-friendly materials and processes we utilize. Additionally, our construction requires zero water, which is a crucial advantage in regions where water resources are limited. The minimal on-site work also ensures almost no environmental damage, preserving the natural surroundings and making Tetris Technology a truly green solution for building in sensitive or remote locations.
