ISM Tetris Delivers Fast and Sustainable Modular Solutions in Uganda

sustainable eco building

Project Overview:

In our recent project, ISM Tetris successfully constructed four modular accommodation units for a client in Uganda. Completed in just under 30 days, this project exemplifies the remarkable speed, efficiency, and sustainability that Tetris Technology brings to the construction industry. The project included two 78 sqm three-bedroom units and two 39 sqm one-bedroom units, all thoughtfully designed with modern living in mind.

Unit Specifications

78 sqm Units: These spacious three-bedroom units each feature en-suite bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen, and a generous lounge area that seamlessly extends to an outdoor deck. This design beautifully blends indoor and outdoor living, creating a versatile space that maximizes comfort and functionality.

39 sqm Units: The one-bedroom units are designed with the same attention to detail, featuring an en-suite bathroom, open kitchen, and lounge area. Despite their smaller size, these units offer a comfortable and functional living space that meets the needs of modern occupants.

Materials and Construction

Tetris Technology utilizes advanced pre-manufactured techniques with a steel structure and insulated system, designed for quick assembly and customization. This method ensures precision and consistency, delivering aesthetically pleasing, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions. By minimizing on-site work, we reduce waste and enhance energy efficiency, making Tetris an ideal choice for modern construction.

These materials were carefully selected not only for their durability and aesthetic appeal but also for their ability to enhance the energy efficiency of the units.

Sustainability and Efficiency

Sustainability is a core principle of Tetris Technology. The modular design of these units allowed us to minimize material waste and reduce the overall environmental impact of the project. By prefabricating the units in a controlled environment at our Nairobi yard, we optimized resource use and ensured precision in every aspect of the build.

The use of eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient insulation further reduced the carbon footprint of the project. With Tetris Technology, construction is completed three times faster than traditional methods, producing 50% less waste. The carbon footprint is reduced by 70%, thanks to the eco-friendly materials and processes we utilize. Additionally, our construction requires zero water, which is a crucial advantage in regions where water resources are limited. The minimal on-site work also ensures almost no environmental damage, preserving the natural surroundings and making Tetris Technology a truly green solution for building in sensitive or remote locations.

Transportability and Quick Turnaround

After being constructed in our Nairobi yard, the units were securely transported to Uganda, demonstrating the flexibility and mobility of Tetris Technology. This ability to construct in one location and easily transport to another highlights the versatility of our modular approach, making it an ideal solution for remote or logistically challenging sites.

The entire project—from construction to delivery—was completed in under 30 days. This rapid turnaround is a testament to the efficiency of Tetris Technology and our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions within tight timelines.
